I'm proud and grateful Puff Piece has been shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Awards. I'll use this moment to answer a question often asked.
As one of my favorite authors, I must implore you to take care of your health John. Douglas Adam's writing dramatically declined after his death and I'm still feeling bereft.
Yeah bro, quit that shit! I quit last year, listened to The Easy Way To Stop Smoking on audiobook, it was almost like hypnotherapy. When I was reading Puff Piece, I was glad you were doing the expose, but I was afraid for you; I could hear you getting sucked in throughout the course of the book. Don’t see many IQOSs around though. Maybe you had an impact?
I'm a young 'un (well, two years younger than you), and I developed angina about a decade ago (brought on by stress: fraught domestic situation, that, thankfully, I'm not in anymore), but, being young, it didn't occur to me that *that* was what was going on. I'm very grateful that medical professionals got through to you - we need you to be a fantastically cranky-but-hilarious old codger author, JS! Keep listening to them med professionals :-)

Wow that is some heavy shit! Glad you are ok. Congratulations on the shortlist !
I'm glad you made it to the doctor and that I didn't need to read about a different version of this in the news. Take care.
I didn’t know you have a blog. Saw you in Darwin earlier this year and it was cool
