People hassle God for being wrathful. Why doesn’t He save all the starving people et al.? But in this week’s bible reading we learn, after Jonah is swallowed by a whale and seemingly condemned for death, “the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto the dry land.” So it’s all swings and roundabouts really.
